“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:19
Benevelolent Fund Application
We desire to help meet the needs of our church and community. If you need help and feel we can assist, please read our policy and complete the form so we can begin the process.
Benevolent Fund Policies.
At no time for any reason does the church pay cash to individuals or persons. No cash is stored at the church facility. All help will be paid directly to the source (ex., Landlord direct, Pacific Power direct, Water company direct). Therefore, if we feel we can help, we will ask for your account information so we can apply a one-time payment in your name.
We will ask for your personal information and keep records of our interactions. These records will be made available to other churches in the community to prevent them from also helping the same situation.
We reserve our funds for use only in Clatsop County and, by exceptional circumstance, for persons residing in Pacific County.
Our Benevolent fund does not cover the following… (please see our resource guide below)
Hotel or motel rooms for the night.
Food items that are available at food banks or pantries.
Credit card payments, debt relief.
Situations when repossession, eviction, or a turn-off is imminent, and our funds can’t stop it.
Situations in which the need is so significant that our contribution won’t make a meaningful difference until other resources are added to meet the goal. (We may still help, but we want to know what other resources are helping before we do.)
Medical bills or medical needs that have not been processed through the hospital or insurance relief programs.
Utility bills that have not been processed by the utility assistance program.
We can only help with what we have. Our resources are limited; therefore, we may not be able to help even if we want to.
If your need can be met by an established agency in our community, we will always refer to them first so that our limited resources can go further. The links below represent many local resources available to you. Please use them first! Our entire benevolence program is run by volunteers, so while your need may be immediate, we cannot always respond immediately.
If you believe none of the above services can help your situation, please fill out the form, and we will do our best to connect you with an appropriate resource or assist you through our benevolent fund. If you need assistance filling out this form, please contact the church office. 503-325-2263.
